ART, SCIENCE, AND TECHNOLOGY
Erin McGee Ferrell’s interdisciplinary practice connects painting with scientific research, emerging technology, and public conversation. Her collaborations have included projects with Columbia University, Arizona State University, the National Cancer Institute, and other research communities.
Through transparent painting layers, thermochromic pigments, embedded technologies, and inquiry into artificial intelligence, Ferrell examines how visual art can make complex systems emotionally and physically legible. The work asks how technology can operate as collaborator, instrument, ally, or threat.
